About Nora
Nora didn’t always want to be a writer; that came later. Rather, reading was her passion, especially mysteries, starting with her mother’s Agatha Christie collection. After working a series of jobs - some odd, some not - she returned to her alma mater, the University of Toronto, in student administration with the Psyhology Department. It was here that she took a creative writing course, fell in love with the craft and completed U of T’s Certificate in Creative Writing. Her first (but not last) suspense novel, The Forest Beyond, combines her love of Ontario’s north with her interest in crime fiction and psychology. Nora lives in Toronto with frequent visits to northern Ontario. She has two children, two cats and a silver Vespa that she rides around the mean streets of Toronto when she wants to relax.
- Nora is an associate member of Crime Writers of Canada.
- Her debut novel, The Forest Beyond, was a finalist, CWC Award of Excellence 2024
